How to Pray At All Times!

The Lord Jesus prays to His Father multiple times throughout the gospels. He instructs His disciples how to pray. Prayer is our communication to our Father in heaven. We pray according to the examples we see in scripture: on our own, in our rooms (Matthew 6:6), we pray together as a body as the disciples also prayed (Acts 1:14).

We see Paul writing to the believers to pray always (1 Thessalonians 5:17), at all times keeping alert in it (Ephesians 6:18).

1. Talk to God as someone close by you!

God is all knowing and all powerful (Psalm 139)! He already knows all you need, He wants you to talk to Him and tell Him all you need (Phillipians 4:6).

2. Give Him thanks for all things (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Whether it's a sun-shining day or a rainy one, whether you had a pleasant conversation with a neighbour or your boss gave you more work to do. In such moments, give Him thanks that you have neighbours or a job! There is always something to thank Him for!

3. Repetition.

The more you talk to God, the easier it will be! The more you talk to someone, the closer you become with that person. God wants a relationship with you! He WANTS you to pray to you Him and even more, He wants to SPEAK to you! He will when you seek Him sincerely, in reverence of who He is (John 9:31)!

At our gatherings, we pray and give praise to the Lord for all He has done, is doing and will do. Just as the Lord Jesus commanded us, (Luke 18:1-8) we always ought to persist in our prayers to Him. Sometimes, when we do not know how to pray, the Holy Spirit 'intercedes for us' (Romans 8:26). May God help you talk to Him more!
